“Was in Oakland for a night. The staff seemed to really care that we were happy. Special shout out to the valet and desk clerks. Thanks.

“The staff was great and attentive. Food was okay. I had the avocado toast with a poached egg. Nothing to write home about. It was breakfast and filled me up enough. What really surprised me was that most of the chairs at the bar side were looking pretty shabby. The leather was cracking and tearing apart. Another guest and I were laughing a bit thinking can't the Marriott afford a little upkeep?”
