Ocean el Faro
Located on the seafront overlooking the idyllic beaches of Punta Cana, the Ocean El Faro is a newly built five-star resort that opened its doors in late 2018. It features water attractions including large swimming pools, a calm stream with a gentle current, ideal for relaxing and letting go, as well as a family area with a water park. The resort, located in the Uvero Alto area, also has spectacular rooms, a wide range of themed restaurants, a Despacio Spa Centre, Privilege, Exclusive Rooms and Services and a full programme of entertainment for the whole family. In July 2019, the hotel will open an exclusive area for guests 18 and over with specialized services and leisure activities.

“T he very best about this hotel is the stunning beach views, the beach itself is rather rocky. but simply the most stunning location none the less. The hotel is understaffed so I understand, but based on this trip it will likely be my last time to the Dominican. Let me advise I am a platinum member, the service level at this hotel is not even one, the worst, hard to pick, not correct room assigned despite booking 6 months ahead of time ,non working rooms keys, broken safe, two hours for room service on multiple occasions, the Butlers were very mediocre, but likely the Privilege Restaurant wins, nothing privilege about it, maybe the view, multiple inquiries to multiple staff and not even water after 45 minutes, when I reported it to the Privilege Manager, it was evident that it fell on deaf ears. The buffet is good, hit the back of the buffet for the fresh omelets, the best was our dinner at the Italian Restaurant one of our last nights, the food was amazing and Ramon the server was EXCELLENT and the best service we received all week. If you are going to sell privilege service, it would be ideal to provide same.”

“Our privilege ocean view suite and our butler Joel Mejia made a big difference to improving our experience. Being on the second level made for more privacy and a better view. Great Lady cleaning our place daily. We enjoyed the little hot tub too. Staying covid safe was made pretty straight forward by the staff and it was the other guests we had to watch out for. I suggest room service for breakfast and have your butler book your reservations for the first seating for dinner. Tip - they work hard.”
